Before words, movement was our first language and the way humanity related to the world and to others. We move because we need to express ourselves, experiment, connect to others, be creative, experience emotional flow and mindfulness, belong and have fun!
With AWENE, we move to explore and learn how we relate to self and others
One differentiating feature of my approach is embodied cognition. It’s at the very heart of my practice, and I make subtle adjustments according to my audience and my clients.
1:1 coaching
Awareness of our breathing in order to relax and pause, and/or playing with non-verbal language to boost assertiveness and leadership skills and/or better understanding and managing your emotions.
Group workshops
Exploring learnings having fun and using non-verbal games, and/or full workshops with music in order to let go, and/or expressing your feelings and yourself.
Learning is much quicker, deeper and long-term when our body language and intelligence are involved. This means having both body and mind being engaged in a playful framework.
AWENE’s workshops for both organizations and groups can include the disruptive "Embodied Cognition" approach, trusting our body and playing with movement with an experimental mindset, enabling participants to recharge their batteries, self-reflect, share, and grow both as individuals and as a team.
The body speaks... now listen
What moves me? How to trust my body and learn from it ?
The body is a fantastic resource because it does not lie, whereas the mind can sometimes trip us up. By learning to listen to and trust our body, we can open our mind and become better acquainted with who we are, and with what we want and need. AWENE offers “movefulness” spaces — in reference to mindfulness - for both individuals as part of 1:1 coaching, or as workshops open to all.
They are kind spaces where we can reconnect with ourselves and with our inner freedom, possibly breaking down the beliefs we have acquired over our lifetime so that we can tap into our “real self”. It is where we have the freedom to be who we are, with the authenticity we had as children we tend to lose along the way.
It is like being in a playful laboratory where we are to move with the body and re-connect with our emotions! In doing so, we learn the fundamentals of life, and about being with yourself and others in the present moment.
" Somatic resources are the physical actions and capacities that support self-regulation and provide a sense of well-being, competency, and mastery "

My personal experience and practice: In a period of doubt and looking for resourcing, I started Open Floor Movement practice in 2014. I found a place where I could resource and recharge, where I could fully express myself without any mask, where I could better know how I relate to myself, with others and the world, where I could re-open some doors and free spaces inside me, where I could embody all my dreams including AWENE. I found my home in this space and I am proud and grateful to be part of the Open Floor teachers community.
